aLife provides 3 spacious floors, each having its own original atmosphere providing customers with various uses for each floor. To commemorate the 7th anniversary of its opening, in 2009, aLife along with French-born, French-American artist and painter Karen Joubert Cordier, collaborated to present aLife with a new face and exotic look to create a prestige and glamorous atmosphere. Her world-renowned paintings are showcased across the globe at various collections as well as in museums in her native country of France and her work has received much recognition throughout the art community.
Karen Joubert Cordier is a French-American artist and painter born in Neuilly-sur-Seine on August 29, 1954. She was educated at the Academy Charpentier in Paris, studying art and design that eventually lead her into pursuing a career in the field of art. Her artwork displays characteristics of surrealism similar to that of Dali, the uses of her colors are similar to that of Rousseau, the modernity of Robert Combas and the fruitful techniques of Arcimboldo. With the inspirations from these painters, Karen Joubert Cordier has built up her reputation as an artist that is always changing and evolving her artistic talent through her open-minded viewing and inspirations from the modern world. Karen Joubert Cordier and her exhibitions in Hong Kong and Cannes have been very successful, and are amongst some of her greatest achievements that she has contributed to the art world.
